Carefor Health & Community Services is a
not-for-profit charitable organization that has been
delivering high quality, affordable health and home care
services to the communities of Ottawa, Renfrew County,
Cornwall and Eastern Counties since 1897.
From foot care and nursing services to community
initiatives devoted to clients living with dementia
(Day Programs, Guest House, Richmond Care Home),
when there's a need for care, we're there!
The generous support we receive from donors
is what helps us establish various community
initiatives, such as the Guest House, which
relies largely upon donor funds.
Established in March 2007, the Guest House is a joint project
of Carefor, the Alzheimer Society and the Perley & Rideau
Veterans' Health Centre. The 12-bedroom bungalow provides
respite care to individuals living with dementia. The first year of
operation was a huge success with over 2000 overnight stays
having been provided to individuals in need.
