Before long, Galetta had three rinks. Five years later
the eight-rink facility was operational and the game had
attracted a committed following.
“We host three invitation tournaments every year,”
explains David.
In 2006, the “little club that could” hosted the prestigious
Governor General’s Cup — an event that attracted
the best players from Quebec and Eastern Ontario. This
season they welcomed the best mixed pairs from all over
Ontario for the annual provincial mixed pairs tournament.
