Lawrence Parks Commission manages
all the waterfront area along the river
from Kingston to the Quebec Border.
The area includes seven riverside
campgrounds and several marinas.
As for food, you can eat at the
Upper Canada Village Café or get a
picnic lunch to go. You can also visit
the Village Store without paying
admission to the Village. And back in
Morrisburg, you can eat at the
McIntosh Inn, which has good family
dining, or there’s Apple Betty’s or the
New Centennial, as well as several fast
food outlets. The Tea Room in
Williamsburg offers fine dining.
Morrisburg has a self-guided walking
tour available at its Tourist
Information Booth, and hosts an
Antiquefest the last weekend of July
every year at the waterfront park. The

401, go east to exit #750 and turn
south on Hwy. 31. From here it is
a short distance into Morrisburg.
From the east end of Ottawa,
Highway 31 will take you directly

relative of the apple’s originator and
sells about 40 different types of apples
— a wonderfully colourful and tasty
place to visit.
