ORPHEUS MUSICAL THEATRE
SOCIETY presents The Sound of
Music, a Broadway musical based on
the book The Story of the Trapp Family
Singers. When a postulant proves too
high-spirited for the religious life, she
is dispatched to serve as governess for
the seven children of a widowed naval
captain. It contains many hit songs by
Rogers and Hammerstein including
Edelweiss, My Favourite Things, Climb
Every Mountain, Do-Re-Mi, Sixteen
Going on Seventeen, and The Lonely
Goatherd, as well as the title song. The
film version was one of the biggest
box office hits in cinema history.
Tickets are $28 to $34.50.
