Affordable luxury living at the
Royalton Retirement Residence Kanata
Ottawa has never had an address like this before. The
Royalton Retirement Residence Kanata introduces a
whole new way of enjoying the finer things in life.
With occupancy slated for early 2009, this luxurious
brand new five-storey building offers the complete package:
158 suites, gorgeous common areas and deluxe amenities –
including an indoor pool, jacuzzi, greenhouse, putting green, a
movie theatre, gourmet dining, plus first-class service.
“It’s going to be beautiful,” says Leasing Manager
Tracey Dixon.
It’s also going to raise the bar for senior living.
For one thing, this multi-city project – Royalton
Retirement Residences are also in the works for Kingston,
London, Peterborough and St. Catharines – gives people what
they want: affordable luxury accommodation. Choice. State of
the art facilities. Uncompromising standards of service and
care. And community commitment.
Liberty Assisted Living and the Coram Construction
Group have partnered in the innovative development and
what they’ve created is a great way to live.
“We really believe in choices,” Dixon explains. Since the
building is yet to open, she adds, “You can pick your own
flooring and cabinetry.”
If residents at this Kanata address want a bike room
instead of a wine cellar, that’s what they’ll get.“It’s being built
for what the residents want. They can have input.”
In fact, a residents’ council is planned and it will have a
strong voice in how the residence is run.
“It’s a whole different way of retiring.”
Unlike so many dour, fussy retirement settings, this
elegant residence is distinguished by sophisticated, modern
interior design, open spaces, natural light and warm

comfortable surroundings.
The striking grand lobby, library, chic bistro bar, sleek internet
lounge, impressive fitness centre, movie theatre, deluxe dining
lounge, beauty salon, woodworking shop, gift shop and
demonstration kitchen set the tone for five-star living.
“Everything you need is right here in the building,” Dixon
says. “It’s luxury hotel-style living, but you feel right at
home.”
Each resident will be a member of The Royalton Club,
which offers first class services and amenities. Picture yourself
meeting friends for a cocktail at the licensed bar, enjoying a
game of cards or joining your neighbours to watch a movie.
There’s a 24-hour concierge to greet guests and monitor
security and a recreation director who will organize outings,
guest speakers, entertainment and activities. To feel your best,
you can access the health and wellness facilities and receive
expert advice from the wellness director. There’s even a visiting
physician and pharmacy service.
As for personal living quarters, there are 26 types of
suites available, from studios to two-bedroom apartments.
They’re all different and offer luxe finishes such as hardwood
flooring and walk-in showers with comfortable, anti-slip seating.
Full kitchens feature stainless steel appliances.
And there’s no need to worry about having to move if
your needs change as the years go by. There is aging in place
here. Assisted living is available.
What’s more, the Royalton Retirement Residence Kanata
will have a strong community focus, employing local people,
hosting events and supporting the community it serves.
It’s all part of the Royalton difference.
