medication in osteoporosis or low
bone mineral density?
Dr. Waltin-James needs volunteers for a
two-year, 6 visit, study for postmenopausal
women with osteoporosis or low bone
mineral density.
You may be eligible if:
• You are a postmenopausal (at least 12
months) woman
• You are age 55 or older
• You have not previously been treated with
alendronate (Fosamax®)
Qualified participants will receive at no cost:
• Bone Density Testing
• Physical Exams
• Study Drug or alendronate (Fosamax®) for
2 years
• Calcium and Vitamin D supplements
• Laboratory Testing
