Vertigo and Dizziness:
A novel solution to a common problem
Do you experience the head-spinning
dizziness called vertigo? You’re not alone
– and you don’t have to suffer anymore.
As many as one in ten people over
age 60 suffer from the effects of BPPV
or Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo.
BPPV is characterized by a sudden-onset
spinning sensation (vertigo), which can
cause nausea and vomiting, falls, and
long-term disability.
There is now an effective, low-cost
treatment you can use at home.
Developed in Canada by ear, nose and
throat specialists at Clearwater Clinical
Limited and researched at the
University of Western Ontario, the
DizzyFIX helps you get relief quickly and
easily from BPPV.
Causes of Vertigo
BPPV is caused by normal inner ear
crystals that become dislodged and
collect in one of the balance canals.
When a person moves their head in
certain ways this collection of crystals
causes abnormal fluid waves in the
inner ear. The brain interprets this as
spinning or vertigo.
BPPV Symptoms
There are three main symptoms
associated with BPPV:
Spinning vertigo
Short duration of symptoms
(seconds to minutes)
Symptoms that are caused by
motions like rolling or looking up
BPPV can be diagnosed by a physician
using a special maneuver, which
involves laying patients down and looking
at their eyes. Patients with BPPV
have characteristic fluttering eye movements
called nystagmus.
Treatment
A successful treatment for BPPV
was discovered in 1992. It involves a
series of motions of the head to reposition
the loose crystals back into a place
where they do not cause vertigo. Some
family doctors and most ENT specialists
can perform this maneuver.
The DizzyFIX enables anybody to perform
a correct particle repositioning
maneuver and there are no additional side
effects. Since the DizzyFIX can be used at

symptoms I will be able to alleviate them.”
Theresa.
“It only took one use to get rid of the severe dizziness…
I am so glad that I have the piece of mind
of knowing that should I go through this again I
have the cure and don't have to go through
another 5 weeks of suffering. Thank You."

home, the maneuver may be repeated as
often as necessary to achieve a cure.
BPPV is a chronic condition and the
recurrence rate is high. Thanks to the
DizzyFIX, it can be managed quickly and
successfully – wherever you are.
The DizzyFIX was introduced to
physicians at the American Academy of
Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery
meeting in 2007. It has since been featured
in the Journal of Otolaryngology. It
is safe, effective and it can make a significant
difference in your quality of life.
