Smiths Falls E xplore Ontario
Enjoy the pleasures of sensational Smiths Falls, heart of
the Rideau Canal. Sunday, June 8, is a great time to visit
this lovely World Heritage Destination, since Doors
Open is taking place. You can explore 18 different Smiths
Falls attractions.
Don’t miss the Smiths Falls Chocolate & Railway
Festival July 18 to 20. Events include a parade and music
in the park. No visit to Smiths Falls is complete without
a trip to the Hershey Chocolate Factory and Shoppe.
Look for the Fun In the Fall Passport!
Smiths Falls also has three excellent museums:
Heritage House Museum, Smiths Falls Railway Museum
of Eastern Ontario and the Rideau Canal Museum.
The Rideau Canal, a National and World Historic
Site, passes through the middle of Smiths Falls.
Interpretation displays, parking and picnic areas are
available.
Stop beside the canal at gorgeous Centennial Park.
Also beside the canal is Victoria Park with a picnic shelter,
information center, boat docking and a campground.
There’s terrific shopping in the unique downtown at the
