Mountain is well worth
the gondola ride up.
at all is the certainty that no matter how much I don’t
want to do this,I’ll regret not doing it even more.And then
I’m soaring above the river, still terrified but now exhilarated
as well — at the scenery, at the speed, and at turning
abject fear into hands-free-hanging-upside-down-in-theharness
fun.
Taking that step into nothingness was one of the best
things I could have done — it turns out that pushing past
the limits that your mind places on your body can be good
for the soul.
