is presenting jazz singing sensation
Sophie Milman on May 2 and the
five-member gypsy band Papa Duke

discount). Milman takes her inspiration
from Ella Fitzgerald, Ray
Charles, George Gershwin, Duke
Ellington and Mississauga’s own Oscar
Peterson. Her repertoire includes a
stunning array of jazz standards and

Centre’s Hammerson Hall. Ukrainianborn
Vasyl Popadiuk and his Papa
Duke band will delight Ukrainian
music lovers with what has come to
be known as “gypsy world fusion”— a
combination of classical, jazz, latin and

playwright Norm Foster and
Bermuda Avenue Triangle, penned
by the husband-and-wife writing team
of Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna.

the spectacular Swan Lake on Ice at
the Sony Centre for the Performing
Arts at 1 Front Street in Downtown

Tchaikovsky, the Imperial Ice Stars
perform stunning skating feats — normally
seen only in Olympic arenas —
within the confines of a theatre stage,
including breathtaking triple flips,
triple toe loops, double axels, death
spirals, camel spins, Bielmanns, triple
throw axels and awe-inspiring aerial
